the compressed globular body rising from three short cabriole legs to a short flaring neck and everted rim, covered overall with irregular green, ochre and cream splashes falling short of the underside to reveal the pale pinkish-buff body, the similarly glazed domed cover surmounted by a lotus bud finial

Condition

The censer is in fair condition with the exception of three areas of crescent-shaped restoration to the rim of the cover (all circa 3 x 1cm.,) one with an associated 4cm., harline rim crack, restoration around approximately two thirds of the middle of the body of the censer and around the top of one leg, and to the rim of the censer (4 x 1cm.), minor glaze flakes to the rim and lower body.
