Provenance

Acquired in China in the 1920s or 30s and thence by descent.

Condition

Butterflies and two gourds belt buckle - scattered small chips and restored chips to the enamels. Belt Buckle with an inscription - there is wear and scratches to the inscription, key-fret border and mark. There is a tiny nick to the rim edge. There are minor burst air bubbles to the back. Belt Buckle with a floral scroll - there is fritting and loss to the enamels of the floral decoration. There is a small chip to the rim edge. There is wear to the enamel on the back. Belt Buckle with a floral spray - there is overall wear and scratches to the enamels. There is a small chip to one corner and a section of loss to another corner and a small chip to the rim edge. There is minor fritting and nicks to the raised border enclosing the central panel. The notches on the back are chipped. Belt Buckle with a fresh-water pearl and kingfisher feather metal - one section of the paper is warped resulting in lifting and slight tears. There is wear and discoloration to the pearls.
