both of hexagonal form, supported on six tabbed feet, decorated on the exterior with bright enamels of poppy and peony sprays, the mouth rim with the characters Dayazhai, beside the Tian Di Yi Jia Chun iron-red sealmark, all reserved on a rich purple-ground, the flat broad mouth rim with a blue enamel key-fret band, the interior plain white, the base with four-characters Yong Qing Chang Chun in iron red (2)
Condition
One with a small glaze tear to the interior and to the rim. The other with a glaze tear, kiln grit and a bubble in the body on the interior. Both with overfiring and bubbling to the purple glaze overall, particularly around the rim where some of the glaze has flaked off. There are minor chips to the tabbed feet, and wear to the gilding around the rim overall.
