the compressed globular body with a tall waisted neck rising to a garlic-bulb mouth, set with a pair of ruyi-scepter-shaped handles, lavishly decorated overall with large peony flowers issuing from leafy stems, divided by ruyi bands at the mouth, shoulder and foot and embellished with stylized bats and zoomorphic scrolls around the neck, reserved on a pale blue ground, the ruyi-scepter handles with leafy scroll and stylized bat outlining the ruyi-head, all on a turquoise-blue ground
Condition
In overall good condition with minor pitting and losses to the enamels as well as expected wear and tarnishing to the gilding.
