A CARVED DUAN INKSTONE QING DYNASTY

of tapered rectangular outline with rounded corners, the smooth sunken palette emptying into a crescent-shaped ink-pool,  the top and one side carved with three sinuous dragons amid swirling clouds, two characteristic circular inclusions forming the 'pearls'

The lower right corner has been chipped and a section polished, there are some minute nicks along the edges, and an old chip filled with resin on the upper left coner on the underside. The rim on the underside also has a number of small chips and nicks. The palette has some light scratches and a nick.
