Condition
Overall the condition of the marble is good with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are a few small chips and abrasions to the beard, wreath, drapery at the front, corn sheath, and to the edges. There are a few further small chips and abrasions to the horn and pan pipes at the sides. There is minor veining and a small abrasion to the tip of the nose. There are a few small naturally occurring inclusions, including to the top of the head and to the sides of the herm. There is a small hole to the top of the head. There is an illegible ink inscription to the back: ...obn.
