Front This work is generally in good condition. Cracks are visible in the upper part of the "X". A 4 cm by 2 cm loss of paint layer is visible on the lower part of the "X: left side and another ca. 3 cm x 3 cm in the upper right segment of the "X". There are further paint losses in the middle area (ca. 4cm by 4cm) and some minor part ca. 2 cm radius, also in the middle part. Some raised and loose areas also visible especially on the middle upper part of the painting where the surface is more textured. The painting has being consolidated previously: adhesive marks in several areas are visible. Having examined the work under ultraviolet light, there are a few small areas in the middle and upper part of the painting which appears to be restored. Back The canvas is wavy because of the drying force of the glue and the fact that the canvas is not stretched properly. Stretcher made in China: one cross are on the upper left corner is missing.
