Condition

Overall the work is in very good condition. The canvas is unlined. There is some minor surface soiling throughout. There are a few minor scattered surface scuffs in the encaustic in the upper right quadrant of the canvas, including a scratch in this area roughly 4 in. long. There are natural inconsistencies in the surface of the canvas, including drips and thicker areas of wax, all of which are inherent to the artist's working method.
