Condition
This work is in very good condition. There is slight soiling from handing evident along the white edges on the left, bottom and right sides. Along the bottom edge, there are two slight bulges corresponding to fine debris behind the stretcher bar, located 19 ¾ - 20 ½ in. and 21 7/8 – 22 ¼ in. from the left corner. There are a few short areas of fine hairline cracking located in the black pigment in lower right (3 ½ in. from the right edge and 7 ¼ - 7 ¾ in. from the bottom) and two in the blue pigment at the center of the left edge (10 ¾ - 11 ¾ in. from the left edge and 5 - 5 ½ in. from the left edge). Under UV light, there are no apparent restorations. A small aqueous accretion fluoresces yellow (located 1 in. up from the bottom and 24 ¼ in. from the left edge) but is not apparent to the naked eye. The canvas is not framed.
