Condition
This work is in very good and sound condition overall. There is wear and handling to the mattress as well as smudged paint, all of which appears inherent to the artist’s working method.

Catalogue Note
"Dreams, sex, death, life. It's [a mattress] just this rectangle with four legs, and yet that embraces an incredible amount of human experiences. And so it's almost like a perfect equation of having achieved so much with so little." - Guillermo Kuitca
