Condition
This work is in very good condition overall. The surface displays light dust accretions and some evidence of handling along the edges. There is a green accretion to the right of the figure's head.

Throughout Nara's practice, he has provoked a deep sense of memory and the allure of youth while simultaneously leaving a constant reminder of the problems and concerns of adulthood. Nara's work embodies a defiant spirit that comes with youthful optimism and belief that we can change the world. - Cherie Federico, "Reality is what you make it," Aesthetica, August - September 2008, p. 34
