Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant in the original. The illustration fails to fully convey the elaborate texture of the textile surface apparent in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. All irregularities are inherent to the artist's choice of medium and working process.

Catalogue Note

'In Rahbar's work, themes of uprooting, disappointment with the promised land, dual culture, war, trauma and scarring refer directly to her personal experience. Though political, her work is no less intimate, committed as it is to the re-elaboration of personal memories.'
