Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly warmer in the original. Condition: There is light wear with associated intermittent tension cracks along all four extreme edges. There is an intermittent faint stretcher mark running parallel with the lower edge. Closer inspection reveals scattered hairline cracks in places throughout, notably to the centre and in the lower half of the composition. There are two fine vertical feather cracks towards the centre of the lower half of the composition. Examination under ultra-violet light reveals a few small areas of retouching; one below the the central white sphere, and a few further spots in the green pigment below this.
