Condition

The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration. The work is unstretched, in its original condition. Are only visible under very close inspection : - few artist's pinholes located at each of the 4 corners and along the upper edge - 4 very light red lines located along the upper edge - 1 very light orange dot located in the upper right corner - few minor indents and minor superficial creases, all due to the artist's process Under UV light, there is no evidence of any retouching. This work is in excellent condition.

"Qu'est-ce qui rend la peinture visible ? La couleur des empreintes de pinceau n°50 répétées à intervalles réguliers de 30 cm, leur disposition, inscription, dans le lieu, le lieu lui-même, le jeu du peint et du non-peint. C'est à dire un travail de peintre (et non d'artiste !), essayant de ne pas imposer ses obsessions pas des "moyens artistiques", mais en acceptant les contraintes et les seules possibilités liées à une méthode de travail, pour donner à voir la peinture, sans se préoccuper du spectaculaire et sans tour de passe-passe.
