Description

of upright rectangular section with an irregular rounded top, carved around the sides with a continuous scene of a scholar crossing a wooden footbridge under a gnarled tree, winding up a mountainous path set with a waterfall and swirling clouds in the distance, the opaque stone of rich golden amber tone picked out with russet inclusions and characteristic veins

Condition

The seal is overall in very good condition with only typical age wear and light scratches in areas to the surface. The actual colour is quite close to the catalogue illustration.
