of globular form, the rounded sides rising from a concave base to a short straight neck, brightly painted around the body in inky cobalt tones with a broad band of scrolling lotus borne on a continuous foliate stem, between a row of upright petal lappets skirting the foot and pendent ruyi collaring the shoulder, the neck encircled with key-fret, the recessed base inscribed with a six-character reign mark within double circles in underglaze blue

Condition

The jar is in quite good condition with the exception of a few firing grits, small burst air bubbles and a tiny glaze chip at the rim.
