Description

finely carved in openwork with a branch of flowering chrysanthemum entwined around the arched shaft, with two larger blooms resting on the top edge of the ruyi-shaped terminal, the bottom detailed with an angular archaistic scroll and pierced for threading a purple tassel, the pale translucent stone of an even greenish-white tone finished to a lustrous polish

Condition

The sceptre is in overall good condition with a few minor nicks along the edges of the carved design.
