A COPPER-RED BACKED DISH SEAL MARK AND PERIOD OF QIANLONG

Estimate
70,000 - 90,000 HKD
bidding is closed

Description

potted with shallow sides gently rising from a slightly tapered foot to a flaring rim, the exterior evenly applied with a rich strawberry-red glaze fired to a glossy finish, leaving the interior reserved in white, the white countersunk base inscribed with a six-character reign mark in underglaze blue

Condition

The dish is slightly warped. Two sections of about 0.5 and 2.5 cm on the rim have been slightly restored, probably to conceal some frits. The overall condition is quite good otherwise except for some occasional stained burst air bubbles.
