Condition
The panel is flat and even. Ultraviolet light reveals a line of retouching in the lower right corner below the figure's foot, and intermittently along the left half of the extreme upper edge. Overall this work is in very good condition, and is ready to hang.
Some of the colours, notably the greys and dark browns, are deeper in the original than in the catalogue illustration.
Held in a decorative gilt wood and plaster frame, with foliate and floral ornaments.
