Condition
Oil on paper mounted on canvas. There is a tiny crease in the bank at the left of the extreme lower edge. Apart from scattered small spots of retouching visible under ultraviolet light, notably in the sky, a 1.5cm stroke to the upper left of the fishing man, and a 2cm stroke in the water in the lower right corner, overall this work is in good condition, and is ready to hang.
Held in a decorative gilt frame with a beaded border.
The work is overall less red than in the catalogue illustration.
