4 volumes, 4to (10 1/2 x 8 in.; 270 x 210 mm). Perennials: 96 hand-colored lithographed plates; lacking half-titles. Annuals: 48 hand-colored lithographed plates; lacking half-title, offsetting in gutter of pp. 132-133,  light to moderate toning to plates, many bound out of sequence.  Bulbous Plants: 58 hand-colored lithographed plates; lacking half-title, tear at top margin of p. 95 touching 5 lines of text, some spotting, foxing, and light toning to plates. Uniformly bound in green morocco by Papuchyan (H & H Bindery), gilt link frame, floriated cornerpieces accented with thistle tool, inlaid pink morocco rose centerpiece within a scalloped cartouche, the spines in 6 compartments gilt-tooled with roses and arabesque cornerpieces, teal and burgundy lettering pieces, gold and green combed marbled endpaers, edges gilt.
