of elephant ivory, with intricately carved foliage and scrolled quillons at the base, a decorative band at the neck of the lion, and bands of naturalistic floral motifs at the grip rising to the pommel rendered naturalistically in the form of a growling lion's head with flared nostrils and teeth revealed

Condition

overall in good condition considering the age. there are visible hairline cracks mainly down the body of the hilt, as viewed.
