earthenware bowl painted in black, yellow, red and green under a transparent glaze, the centre with a medallion enclosing stylised leaves surrounded by a band of scrolling split-palmettes, the yellow ground of the cavetto painted with five figures, three sitting and two standing, the interstices filled with birds and animals, floral and vegetal motifs, and Kufic lettering
