Description

  • ink, colours and gold on paper
Ink and gouache on paper, heightened with gold, both laid down on album pages, the larger depicting a standing figure eating fruit within gilt borders with blue spandrels with floral scrolls and coloured borders, the smaller white-robed figure holding a flower aginst a light blue ground, ruled in colours and gold with gold flecks, margins decorated with animals amid gilt scrolling vegetation

Condition

In good overall condition, the larger with some minor stains, the smaller with some very minor flaking to the paint, particularly in the top right hand quadrant and lower part of the figure's robe, margins with some slight rubbing, as viewed.
