Arabic manuscript on paper, 306 leaves, written 15 lines to the page, in Naskh script in black ink, verses separated by segmented gold florets, illuminated marginal devices, catchwords, margins ruled in gold, surah headings in white against gold-ground panels, opening illuminated double-page frontispiece filled with an interlacing weave of polychrome flowers and split-palmettes, the gold ground punched with cintamani motifs, text within cloud bands, 2 further illuminated headpieces and colophon, binding with gold rococo flowers in gold, with flap
Condition
In good overall condition, one quire loose, a few abrasions to binding, illumination bright and calligraphy bold, pages generally fresh and clean, as viewed.
