Arabic manuscript on buff paper, 60 leaves plus 2 flyleaves, 17 lines to the page written in Naskh script in black ink, verses separated by small gold roundels, numerous illuminated marginal devices, opening illuminated headpiece in colours and gold, with outer margins filled with large leafy gold flowers, a further illuminated headpiece and various corresponding panels, double page depiction of Mecca and Medina in watercolours, red morocco with gilt stamped central medallions and cornerpieces filled with chinoiserie cloud bands and interlacing arabesques

Condition

In good overall condition, slight wear to binding extremities, pages clean, ink bold and illumination bright, one or two very minor smudges, missing flap, as viewed.
