Arabic manuscript on paper, 27 leaves plus 4 flyleaves, 7 lines to the page, written in elegant Muhaqqaq script in black ink, verses separated by small segmented gold roundels pointed in red and blue, the word 'Allah' picked out in gold throughout, surah headings written in gold Thuluth script within cartouches against blue floral grounds, illuminated marginal roundels in colours and gold, opening illuminated double-page frontispiece with text in alternating gold and black lines within cloud bands, enclosed within border cartouches filled with polychrome scrolling flowers, binding with doublures decorated with gold filigree work against polychrome grounds, outer boards gilt stamped with intricate interlacing floral motifs, with flap

In generally good overall condition, some minor smudging and thumbing, a few paper repairs, ink generally strong and bold, calligraphy bright, as viewed.
