Arabic manuscript on paper, 37 leaves plus a flyleaf, 6 lines to the page, written in Naskh script in black ink, opening surah heading in Kufic script in gold, f.1a with an illuminated headpiece with juz heading in white kufic reserved against scrolling gold arabesques on a blue ground, verses separated with gold florets, fifth verse marked with an illuminated marginal device outlined in blue, tenth verses marked with a marginal roundel with the Arabic numberal 'Ashr' within gold concentric circles, contemporary binding with tooled central knotted roundel and outer borders of scrolling split-palmettes

Condition

In reasonable overall condition, binding needs reattaching, some smudges, abrasions to binding extremities, calligraphy overall strong and gold bright, as viewed.
