Arabic manuscript on paper, 326 leaves plus 4 flyleaves, 15 lines to the page, written in naskh script in black ink, verses separated by rotating gold roundels pointed in orange and blue, margins ruled in red, black and gold, catchwords, some marginal glosses written diagonally, opening double page illuminated frontispiece with pin-pricked gold ground decorated with floral scrolls on gold and blue interspersed with small medallions featuring naturalistic flowers, text in gold cloud bands, gold surah heading panels, colophon with double page finispiece composed of interlacing leafy vines in gold, brown morocco binding with tooled gilt medallions and punched dots, scrolling and ropework borders, doublures in trellis design, with flap
Condition
In good overall condition, ink bold and illumination bright, pages generally clean, a few very minor smudges and stains, very minor wear to the binding, as viewed.
