Arabic manuscript on paper, 304 leaves plus 2 flyleaves, 15 lines to the page, written in neat naskh script in black ink, verses separated by white-centred gold roundels pointed in orange and blue, surah headings in red thuluth script, margins ruled in blue, black, gold and silver, catchwords, illuminated floral marginal devices throughout, opening double-page illuminated frontispiece decorated with garlands of natural looking polychrome flowers, text separated with gold cloud bands bordered with ropework motifs, double-page illuminated finispiece with colophon, cornerpieces composed of polychrome flowers on gold ground, red morocco binding with tooled medallions and bordered with rotating foliate motifs, with flap
Condition
In good overall condition, ink bold and illumination bright, pages generally clean, minor repair to the paper, very few small losses to the edges and the centre of a few leaves, very minor stains and smudges, few leaves slightly loose, very minor wear to the binding with spine repaired, as viewed.
