Arabic manuscript on polished paper, 264 leaves plus 2 flyleaves, 17 lines to the page, written in neat naskh script in black ink, verses separated by small gold florets pointed in blue and orange, margins ruled in gold, surah headings written diagonally in white naskh script against plain gold panels with polychrome foliate motifs, catchwords, marginal medallions in colourful leafy forms, opening illuminated double page frontispiece in colours and gold, with punched ground and cintamani motifs decorated with naturalistic flowers in rococo style, text within cloud bands, outer margins flecked with gold, colophon with ensuite decoration, red morocco binding with punched cartouches and interlacing arabesques in gold with gilt ropework border, with flap

In very good overall condition, pages generally clean, ink bold and illumination bright, some wear to binding and repair to spine, as viewed.
