Arabic manuscript on paper, 326 leaves plus 4 flyleaves, 15 lines to the page, written in naskh script in black ink, verses separated by small segmented gold roundels pointed in blue and orange, margins ruled in black, red and gold, surah headings written in white naskh script on a gold ground with punched cintamani motifs and foliate decoration, catchwords, illuminated floral marginal devices throughout, opening illuminated double page frontispiece decorated with interlacing polychrome flowers on blue and gold, hexagonal pattern bordering the lower cartouches, text in cloud bands on a punched gold ground with cintamani motifs, brown morocco binding with gilt-stamped cartouches and ropework border
Condition
In fairly good condition, ink bold, minor scuffs, stains and smudges, minor repairs to the paper, small loss to the edge of few leaves, pages generally clean, binding in good condition with repair to the spine, as viewed.
