Condition

This work is in generally good overall condition. There is a tiny yellowed glue trace by the upper left corner. There are minor and unobtrusive dust traces scattered and two superficial scratches partially visible in the catalogue illustration towards the lower right quadrant.

Diversamente da Warhol, pioniere dell’elaborazione serigrafica che trasferiva le sue immagini su tela, Lichtenstein innanzitutto ingigantiva e trasferiva le sue immagini a mano attraverso un processo minuzioso che eliminava insistentemente ogni dettaglio espressionistico della pennellata, spogliando ulteriormente l’immagine della sua rappresentazione naturalistica con l’accrescere della forte stilizzazione mutuata dal fumetto; “Voglio che il mio dipinto appaia come se fosse stato progettato.
