Condition
Executed on white laid paper, not laid down. The sheet is fixed to the mount along the edges, which are slightly irregular. A close inspection reveals a few of artist’s pinholes in three of the corners and some scattered faint spots of foxing in the background. There is evidence of some slight frame abrasion along the edges and two small surface scuffs in the lower right corner and to the right of the lower centre (as visible in the catalogue illustration). There are two small holes to the sheet, one along the right part of the upper edge and the other in the lower centre of the composition (as just visible in the catalogue illustration). Apart from some light time-staining, this work is in good original condition.

Catalogue Note
charcoal on paper. Executed circa 1909-10.
