Catalogue Note
Cette spatule tanagega se distingue par la qualité des motifs curvilinéaires ornant les deux faces de la poignée. La superbe densité du décor est mise en valeur par la patine brillante du bois d’ébène et par les rehauts de chaux dans les creux de la gravure. Créées par des maîtres sculpteurs, leur nom « indique qu'elles représentent un aspect des pirogues nagega kula » (cf. Beran, 2000, p. 54).
