Condition
The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is lighter in the original.
The work is executed on its original canvas and it is not relined.
All due to the artist's process and only visible under very close inspection, there are :
- few scattered thin cracks
- 4 minor losses of paint :
1 located 38 cm from the right edge and 42 cm from the upper edge
1 located 50 cm from the right edge and 56 cm from the upper edge
1 located 26 cm from the right edge and 79 cm from the upper edge
1 located 43 cm from the right edge and 80 cm from the upper edge
Under UV light, there is no evidence of any retouching.
This work is in very good condition.
