from a slightly over-lifesize figure, of slender form with finely carved detail, a tenon in back for attachment.

Condition

Very good and as shown; remains of red pigment and some incrustation on the surface. Note small chip at top left in photo. There is part of a small wood dowel behind the second and third toe, probably for attachment. There are several small checks in the wood, particularly at the base of the big and the second toe. Modern labels underneath.
