the folds of his toga lifted over his head, his face with mature features and furrowed brow, the hair falling in two waves of crescentic curls around the forehead.

Condition

Good overall, bottom of proper left side of veil broken and repaired, in addition to damaged nose and large chips on top and on proper left side of veil note slight abrasions to facial features, entire surface is slightly worn, top and back of head roughly carved, there are two vertical veins in stone visible across face, each with interstices, surface has been lightly cleaned since its sale from the Sackler collection in these rooms in 2009.
