  • A Large Etruscan Bucchero Pottery Hydria

  • height 16 1/2 in. 42 cm
of broad rounded form with single pouring handle and twin lifting handles, the body molded in relief with lions, tongues, and teardrop-shaped ornaments.

Condition

Repaired from large and smaller fragments, the top half of the vessel in better condition than the lower; must of the foot areas just above it are restored; but generally good for a bucchero vessel of this unusually large size.
