each of rectangular form with a central oval panel in purple within a green ground, richly embroidered with a calligraphic cartouche within a radiating solar design and foliate borders enclosing four lines of calligraphy

1) In the centre: The first half of the shahada
In the borders: Qur'an, chapter XLVIII (al-Fath) verses 1-3. With the tughra of Sultan Mahmud II (1223-55/1808-39) including the phrase indicating that his handwriting was the model for the calligraphy
2) In the centre: The second part of the shahada
In the borders: Qur'an, chapter XLVIII (al-Fath) verse 4 ending with 'Mighty God told the truth and His Messenger, the Most Generous Prophet told the truth'
