gold on wood, comprising the central tughra of Sultan Selim III, with a tulip motif to the midle right and inscription in Naskh script to lower left, within gilt-wood frame

Condition

In fair overall condition, some rubbed areas of gold, wormholes, as viewed.

This must be one of the earliest tughra's of Selim III, signed by Mustafa Rasikh (a pupil of Ibrahim Shawqi), as it was produced in the year of his accession in 1789.
