Catalogue Note

This strongly decorated dish has a combination of flowers and symmetrical design comparable to a number of dishes thought to date from the reign of Murad III (r.1574-1595). Two dishes formerly in the Adda Collection share a similar approach and decorative vocabulary in their decoration (Atasoy and Raby 1989, p247, nos.482 and 483).
