Description

of square form, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue, viridian green and relief red against a white background with sprays of carnations, tulips and hyacinths, including a blue border to one side

Condition

In fairly good condition, with some abrasion on surface and along external edges, including some surface pitting consistent with original firing, light scratches to surface with some loss of glaze to part of fine red border line, some restoration and overpainting associated with minor firing defects, four small chips to reverse, as viewed.
