Description

  • Silver
each of shallow form with a slightly raised omphalos, the incised decoration of a central densely-decorated floral medallion within a border of interlacing strapwork, the rim with a deep band of scrolling lotiform and stylised foliate designs, traces of gilding

Condition

The first scratched on the underside in Greek, probably with an earlier owner's name, minor wear and denting; the second with minor wear and denting and a small splpit below the rim, as viewed.
