Minor surface soiling, with discoloration at the extreme edges, a very small accretion on the extreme right edge, and soft handling creases throughout. The verso with minor surface soiling, and uneven mat stains and very few fox marks, which show through to the recto. Hooded Merganser - the subject is in good condition, the sheet trimmed, with margins, and laid down. The colors slightly attenuated, and possibly touched-in in areas. The sheet with scattered foxing and reverse-foxing, most concentrated in the lower margin, discoloration at the sheet edges. Tufted Duck - in good condition, with margins and watermark trimmed. Soft handling creases throughout, discoloration at the extreme edges, with very minor nicks in the top and bottom sheet edges, and remnants of graphite along the bottom edge. A very few faint fox marks in the unprinted areas. The verso with minor surface soiling throughout and pale, scattered fox marks throughout. The verso with uneven pale mat stain, darkest at top. Red-headed Duck - the sheet laid down, trimmed with wide margins (watermark is not visible) with losses and tears at the upper margin, the red head likely re-colored. There are a few inconspicuous fox marks, and minor surface soiling in the margins.
