Condition
The subject is in good condition, margins wide, the colors are slightly attenuated with some later additions to the plummage. Two repaired tears extend from the right and left edges into unprinted areas of the plate. Three repaired areas of loss in the margins, some minor nicks and paper loss along the sheet edges and corners, with a crease in the upper right corner. A small, inconspicuous abraded area to the left of the title, remnants of former adhesive on lower left sheet edge. Some surface soiling and mat-stain in the margins, two small areas of uneven tone in the upper plate, discoloration at the extreme sheet edges, a few pale, tiny fox marks scattered throughout the unprinted areas. The sheet backed with Japan paper.
