  • 19 by 21 1/2 inches
Worked in silk stitches on a linen ground; at the corner a large fruit still-life, below a white house within a fence, a beehive and lion above, below a decoupage young lady leaning on a monument, the whole within a luxuriant floral border with cornucopia, butterflies and birds.  At left the inscription: Ann Smith is my Name Ohio is my Station Liverpool my dwelling place And Christ is my Salvation and signed Hester Ann 1845.
