Catalogue Note
After World War I and all through the 1920s there was a rekindled interest in so-called Early American crafts. American glass, furniture, and hooked rugs were given special attention. In the 1920s the skills of hooked-rug making still survived in some rural areas and especially in New England and the Maritime Provinces of Canada.
