Catalogue Note
According to Larry Pristo in Martelé 950-1000 Fine Gorham's Art Nouveau Silver Dish No. 2224, p. 194, was completed on 28 August 1899. Although the identities of the silversmith and chaser were not recorded, Pristo notes that the dish was made in 35 hours and chased for an additional 70 hours.
