Appears to retain its original surface. This mirror is in a remarkable state of preservation with its original japanning and mirror plates.

Condition

Secondary wood species not tested; there is a later added horizontal brace to back or mirror as well as two added shims to backboard to help stabilize it; once fitted with a crest now lost; loss to japanning; mirror plates appear to br original. frame has been scientifically identified by Harry Alden as Spruce.
